Spirit Crochet Pattern
A few years ago I had never crocheted a sweater. I had knitted some with other people’s patterns over the years, but the world of crocheted sweaters was foreign to me.
When I ventured into the magical land of crochet sweaters, and specifically designed my own free crochet sweater patterns, I found that they were totally trendy, easy to make, and often much faster than knitting a sweater! ! (You can find all my free crochet patterns here!)
Now that it’s my turn, the free sweater crochet patterns are my all-time favorites. If you browse through this list below, you will find that I have a real sweet spot in my heart for crochet cardigans, although you can also find patterns for crochet ponchos, sweaters, sweaters, and shrugs.
You will also need a cable needle.
Note: the garment is more fitted at the waist / torso and then extensions are attached under the armhole for a dropped shoulder. This gives the appeal of a wider garment, but not everywhere.
