Mocho The Owl Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

The mattress stitch is ideal for sewing your toys, it leaves a very nice and neat seam. I don’t use it everywhere, but I especially like it to connect the head and the body; looks really neat and helps prevent head drooping. Check the tutorials HERE and HERE.

Since Amigurumi is crocheted in a spiral, the end of the round and the beginning of the round do not match. That said, when you change the thread there is a noticeable step. If you ever need to change the thread, it is usually not as noticeable and can sometimes be covered with some trim or strategically placed limbs, tail or ears. But when you’re doing something striped, you have to join rounds to get perfect strips. Check out the tutorial HERE.

This model is written using US terminology and is worked in continuous rounds, unless otherwise specified. I recommend that you always mark the beginning of each round using a stitch marker.
If made with the materials described, the toy will have a height of about 11 cm, from the tip of the ears to the bottom
